Pre-K Counts at The Red Balloon Early Learning Center is part of a program established by the PA Department of Education with the purpose of making quality pre-kindergarten opportunities available to kids and families across the Keystone State.
Unique Pre-K Counts Classes
In our Pre-K Counts classroom, you can rest assured that The Red Balloon Early Learning Center will have highly trained teachers, an adaptive curriculum, lots of oversight and progress reporting, and small class sizes for one-on-one time your child needs!

Who needs Pre-K Counts?
While each pre-school program that supports Pre-K Counts classrooms is different, PA Pre-K Counts is designed for children aged 3-5 who meet income eligibility guidelines of less than 300% federal poverty guidelines. Infant
The Red Balloon Early Learning Center's infant program is designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment and a "home away from home" where your child will learn and develop using play, exploration, communication, and teacher interaction!

Toddler
Using modified versions of our Creative Curriculum and a toddler version of Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards, The Red Balloon Early Learning Center's toddler program promotes language development and group interaction.
A comprehensive approach
The Red Balloon Early Learning Center's toddler educators are specially trained to help children thrive during their toddler years!
Your toddler's development is continually noted and assessed based on the "Gold" teaching strategies assessment tool, used to see if the weekly, themed lessons planned are effective for your student.
What does my toddler learn?
Toddlers in The Red Balloon Early Learning Center's program begin to learn the structure of group circle time, are encouraged to sit with each other in short, small-group play times where songs and finger signals are used to learn the basics about body parts, shapes, colors, and counting.
Simple sign language is also used to facilitate language development.
Preschool
The Red Balloon Early Learning Center's pre-school program is designed to meet the needs of your child in developmentally appropriate ways. Your children deserve to be respected as an individual with unique interests and learning styles.
